February 28, 2021 Prayer - Truth, Good Governance

God of Truth,

Thank you that you are omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.  You know every animal of the forest, the cattle on a thousand hills, the birds and insects in the field, and the hairs on our heads.  You are wonderful in all your ways.  Your Word says that you go before us, laying your hand upon us, and you level the mountains.  God, in this state there are so many mountains interfering with good governance.  The mountains of deception and lies, confusion and chaos, and lust for influence and power are just some of the things impacting her citizens.  So, today we pray that you would level the mountains of evil in this state.  Break the wickedness in this state so your grace and order win and godlessness loses.  We pray for the leaders of oversight committees that are digging into election fraud.  We pray that you will give them great wisdom and discernment, provoke uncooperative government officials to transparency and accountability, and calibrate things according to your Truth. We pray for TRUTH and only TRUTH to be revealed, in Jesus's name. We claim doom upon those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness in place of light and light in place of darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!  May all governmental leaders' voices be silenced when they are causing division and speaking deceptions and lies. And may all governmental voices be magnified when they are speaking truth, godliness, righteousness and wisdom. Open doors that give them clarity and boldness and open media avenues that will allow truthful messages to advance in this state.  In the name of Jesus we bind any spirit of fear, anger, deception, socialism, communism, or despair.  You will NOT have this state.  Christ has set us free and so we proclaim liberty and freedom from these antichrist spirits, in the Truth of Jesus's name. Amen!

February 27, 2021 - Prayer for our State's Businesses, Families, Legislators, their Staff, and the State Budget

Awe-inspiring God,

You are great and glorious in power, mighty in miracles.  Your enemies tremble and they surrender and bow down before you.  All the earth - all of this nation - all of this state - all of this county - all of this township - bow down to worship you, to sing your glories forever!  You multiply miracles for your people.   Today we ask you to multiply miracles for this state.  We come to you in humility asking you to heal this state from the demonic spirits of oppression and fear that have been upon her.  Heal the small businesses in this state that have been devastated by the lockdowns.  Heal the people that have been deeply impacted by Covid-19.  Heal the families that have been severely beaten down by the governmental regulations that have led to increases in business failures, poor educational outcomes, increase in addictions, decrease in medical, dental and mental health treatments, and a general feeling of despair.  In the name of Jesus we bind the spirits of despair and fear and send them far away from this state.  God, many who work in state government - especially staff in legislators' offices - are enduring horrendous frustration, anger, and even verbal abuse from constituents.  We pray today that you would break the spirit of anger in this state.  Instead, replace it with a spirit of peace, goodwill, gentleness, patience and kindness, especially as citizens interact with each other.   We pray that the staff and the legislators they work for would be guided with wisdom and grace and that their families and businesses will be untouched by the disruption of politics. In this current season as they work toward a state budget for next year, we pray that their funding decisions would be based on your wisdom and discernment. Give them guidance to make choices that are financially sound and reflect your godly ideals and policies. Give them ears to hear each other, patience to negotiate a good, equitable, and financially responsible budget, and may no ideological bickering or blockages derail the process. We are your jars of clay interceding for this state.  She is afflicted, perplexed, persecuted, struck down, but you are the God of Hope, Healing, Restoration, and Miracles.   Pour out your love and grace here today, we pray in Jesus's name.  Amen.

February 26, 2021 Prayer - Praying for Deliverance, Healing, and Restoration for this State

God of Restoration, 

Thank you that your steadfast love never ceases and your mercies are new every morning.  You are our portion and we hope in you.  Thank you that even when our circumstances look as dark as night, you do not abandon us.  Even when the Israelites committed idolatry and great blasphemies, in your great mercies you did not forsake them.  You led them, gave your good spirit to instruct them, and gave them the physical food and water they needed.  Today we pray and intercede for the people of this state.  While we know great idolatry and blasphemy has been committed in parts of this state, we also know that you do not forsake your People here.  We pray your Good Spirit, your Living Water, your Bread of Life, and your great Hope would be poured out in this state.  She is afflicted, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down, but you are the God of Hope, Healing, and Restoration.  We pray you would root out and break the power of evil in this state's government, even as you protect the righteous who work in government.  Cause business owners to turn to you and cry out to you for solutions - may they see supernatural things happen in their midst! Pour out wisdom and discernment on every administrator, educator, parent, and others working with the children in this state.  By your Spirit, cause families to be drawn together to each other and to you.  Provide jobs and other resources so people can care for their families well.  May those who have been cooped up physically, emotionally, and spiritually, be released from that bondage into the freedom of abundant life in you.  Give those in law enforcement wisdom and authority over the situations they encounter. Protect and preserve people in homelessness.  Protect and deliver those in bondage to suicide or  addictions.  We pray you would break spirits of despair and fear that were dumped on this state; we bind these spirits in the name of Jesus and, instead, release spirits of Hope, Healing, Restoration, and Victory.  Holy Spirit, cause revival and reformation, renewal and refreshment to well up in each local Body of your Church so that Christians stand firm in faith, serve those around them, organize for greater fruitfulness, and show your Love and Power in all counties in this state.  We ask all of this in the strong name of Christ.  Amen!

February 25, 2021 Prayer - Break unrighteousness & despair in this state

Miracle-Working God,

You are great and glorious, mighty in miracles!  You have done marvelous, incredible things for your people, and we surrender and bow before you in worship.  You are a great God whose Love we can never lose, no matter what troubles, pressures, persecutions and problems come to us.  Thank you that when your people who are called by your name humble themselves and pray, you heal our land.  While there are many unbelievers in this state, we stand in faith that we have more than enough godly intercessors to turn this state toward you.  Today, we, your people, cry out in humility for mercy, justice, hope, and healing for this state.  It is one heap of a hot mess.  The spiritual oppression that came a year ago with Covid-19 has resulted in a general spirit of despair among her people and a great deal of spiritual malfeasance in her leadership.   Today we pray you break the root of evil in every level of her governments, media, business, health services, or education that would seek power and control over the citizens.  We pray you would shine Light into places of darkness and corruption in these systems.  We forbid the spirit of lust for power and, instead, release spirits of Freedom, Truth, Justice, and Peace upon this state.   We forbid all spirits seeking to impose despair on these citizens; you will NOT have this state!  We release overwhelming power of Holy Spirit to bring an overwhelming sense of HOPE that will confuse the enemy of our souls and point people toward you.  Meet their physical, financial, and relational needs, and may your Church in this state be loving, caring, hope-filled, and bold with the Good News of the Abundant Life of Christ.  You have set us free from fear and death so we refuse the yoke of this spirit of despair on the people of this state.  We pray and declare that your HOPE, Justice, Grace, and Order will win, and godlessness and despair will lose, in the name of Jesus. AMEN!

February 24, 2021 Prayer - The Church

God of Love, 

You are the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.  You have invited us thirsty ones to come to you and drink deeply of the free gift of the water of life - the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Thank you that you have called each of us to serve in local churches and each of our churches is an important part of your overall Body.  Thank you that your Word doesn't change - you are eternally consistent, the same yesterday, today, and forever - but your passion and creativity for the world you have created has no ends.  Thank you for all the different people in your Church - no matter the denomination or ethnic group or other description.  We believe that whomever has called on your Name for salvation, put their trust in you, is led by the Holy Spirit, and seeks to serve Christ is part of the Church. Thank you for the ways in which your Church is proclaiming the Gospel and making disciples, loving and caring for our neighbors, worshipping in Spirit and in Truth, and being Salt and Light to a world that desperately needs the influence of a Good and Loving God.  Thank you that, throughout history, when your called, chosen, and deeply loved people have strayed from relationship with you, you have reformed, revived, and restored your Church.  Help us to hold fast to the teachings this generation has received from past generations - to strengthen each other and remain true to the faith.  We pray for the overseers of the Church to be good shepherds, guarding against untruths and proclaiming the word of God's grace to build up the Church. In the name of Jesus we pray against any spirit of division that would come against the Church, but we pray that you would prune your Church for greater fruitfulness.  Where she has gone astray from your Word and your Ways, or been taken captive by the spirits of this world, cause the leadership to come to repentance and cleanse the Body of that apostasy, false prophecy, and defilement.  Pour out your Spirit upon men and women, young and old, so that we dream your dreams, see your visions, and perform your signs and wonders in this day and age.   Reform, revive, refresh, and restore your Church for Kingdom impact in our world. You are exalted as first above every ruler, authority, government, and realm of power in existence! You are gloriously enthroned over every name that is ever praised, not only in this age, but in the age that is coming!  And you alone are the leader and source of everything needed in the church. You have put everything beneath the authority of Jesus Christ and have given him the highest rank above all others. By the power of Holy Spirit, cause your Church, your Body on the earth, to be strengthened with your power, be rooted and established in love, and be filled to all the measure of the fullness of God.  In the strong name of Christ we pray, Amen.

February 23, 2021 Prayer - God of Revival

God of Revival,

We've seen what you can do and your power, majesty and glory.  You can break prison walls, move mountains, raise and heal brokenness; all things are possible with you.  Today we pray for a great outpouring of your Spirit upon us and upon this nation.  Holy Spirit, revive, renew, restore, and reform your People and your Church so we can be Light and Salt for a world that desperately needs You.  Come, awaken your churches, your cities, your counties, your states, and this nation to the Goodness of who you are and to your Righteousness and Love.  We pray in Jesus's name, Amen.

February 22, 2021 Prayer - Renew, Reform, Refresh, Revive Church Leaders

God of Reformation and Revival,

We praise you and thank you for the ways in which you have loved, blessed, and guided your people - especially when they have turned from your Truth and Righteous Way.  Thank you that you always provide a way for us to return to you in genuine repentance so the broken relationships between you and your People are restored.  Thank you that even though you see through our corruption, foolishness, misguided hearts, moral darkness, and idolatry, you are continually wooing us with your Voice of Love back to a place of purity, holiness, and joy in communion with you.  Today we pray for the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers you have set into place to equip your people for works of service.  We know your desire is for the Body of Christ to be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, becoming mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.  And we know that, in your wisdom, you have set people of very real human frailty into those positions of leadership and influence.  So, today we pray for Holy Spirit's renewal, revival, reformation, and refreshing to be poured out upon those who oversee your church.  May they be without blame before others. Guard their marriages and their parenting so they can be an example for others.  May they be sensible, well-behaved, hospitable, spiritual shepherds, and ones who are living a disciplined life.  Break any chains of addiction, anger, argumentativeness, lust for power or wealth, and pride. Where there has been darkness, despair, or dryness in the wilderness of their lives, we pray for streams of holy, living water to flow for their healing and refreshment.  God, prepare these overseers to lead their people well through these Last Days. You said that in the Last Days you would pour out your Spirit on all men and women - that we would prophesy, dream dreams, have visions, and see signs and wonders in the heavens and the earth.  You said that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, so we pray that these church leaders, first and foremost, would call upon you to be true, total, and irrefutably Lord in their lives.  May the men and women you have placed into places of leadership be people who guide those around them into deep and honorable relationships with you. God, prepare these church leaders for the Great Harvest that is coming. Prepare them to lead local churches where the Lost and Prodigals are coming to faith and salvation.  You are doing new things in our world; help the leaders you have set into place to have pure hearts before you so they can see your works and your ways.  By the power of Holy Spirit and in the strong and mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen!

February 21, 2021 Prayer - Turnaround

God of the Turnaround,

Praise to the Lord for your glory and strength, your holiness and your majesty.  You are unchangeable, unshakable, unstoppable, God Alone.  We praise you for your Voice which is thundering, powerful, and moving upon this earth.  Thank you for the strength and peace you give to your children who hear your Voice and follow your Way, Truth, and Life.  Thank you that you hear the prayers of your people, that no prayer goes unnoticed as it comes before your Throne of Glory.  In this day and age it can seem like you are silent in the midst of the demonic chaos that has been unleashed on this world.  It may seem like you do nothing to avenge the wickedness, corruption, and evil that has been poured out in this nation.  But you are on your throne in good times and bad and we believe you - we trust you - to guard us and to guide us; help our unbelief and our mistrust.  Today we pray for you to pour out your goodness upon multiplied millions of your Children who seek to honor and serve you with their lives.  And we pray for the judgement of wickedness in this world to take place.  We pray for breakthroughs for which your People have waited decades to now occur.  We pray for you to cleanse and remove from power anyone and everyone at any level of government whose ideas, thoughts, and plans are not in total and strict alignment with yours.  We pray that your Spirit's Power would pull out the iniquitous roots that have tried to strangle righteousness in this land.  We know that you set into place governments and give righteous laws, but you despise the political spirit and the ambition, lust for power, greed, and desire to change this nation away from her God-ordained plans.  We pray against the spiritual forces of wickedness that lust after wealth, power, and perversion, that deceive and twist communication.  We pray you would break the demonic chains of humanism, secularism, and pluralism that have bound our minds for generations.  Free us from these forces of idolatry, we pray in Jesus's name. Without your supernatural intervention, these evil roots will not be eliminated.  But we believe that the power of the wicked will be broken because you, King Jesus, are arising.  May our prayers release your Spirit to do in a day what human methods, ideas, thinking, and religion can't do in decades.  We pray you pour out on this generation your omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence. May Love and Justice will be seen simultaneously, and may repentance be complete. By your Spirit you have begun these processes. Now we pray for a complete and total turnaround in this nation, in Jesus's name!
