Pray. Research. Pray. Vote.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you be secure.
May there be peace within your walls
    and security within your citadels.
For the sake of my family and friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your prosperity. (Psalm 122:6-9 NIV)

God,

You chose the Israelites to be your special people and, even after you adopted us Gentiles into your family, you still have a special love for your Jewish children.  Today we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Israel, and all of the Middle East.  Daily we hear stories of deteriorating governments, economies, freedoms, and life for many of the peoples in the Middle East. Daily there seem to be new threats to the safety, security, and peace of Israel.  So we pray that by the work of your Spirit there will be peace in that region.  May the United States government and her people make wise decisions that honor Israel and help to bring about her security and peace.

For your honor and glory I pray,
Amen
