January 7, 2021 - Bind the Spirit of Civil War and Loose the Spirit of Peace

Strong God,

Thank you for your protection over members of Congress, Capitol staff, and capitol law enforcement yesterday.  Thank you for the peaceful protestors in D.C. yesterday, especially those whose desire is to turn our nation away from the antichrist spirits of socialism/communism and secular humanism and return our nation to its Constitutional principles.  Thank you for the many people in our nation praying against the spirit of violence that has been unleashed.  In Jesus's name, we bind that spirit of violence and declare that it will NOT continue to operate.  You taught us that a house divided will fall and we see this nation very, very divided right now.  You taught us that if we are not with you, we scatter and further divide.  So, cause us as individuals, a Church, and this nation to choose YOU.  Your praying church joins together today to pray against the spirit of civil war that is trying to incite violence and war.  In Jesus's name we bind that spirit and declare that it will NOT have power over this nation or her people.  Instead we ask your angel armies to loose a spirit of PEACE upon this nation; deep, deep peace that passes understanding to be poured out in places of anger, frustration, sadness, anxiety, or other avenues of spiritual and emotional violence that can lead to physical violence.  Instead we pray you would cause that Spirit of Peace to help us think about things that are true, right, lovely, admirable, excellent and worthy of praise.  Help us to turn our physical and spiritual eyes upon you so the things of this earth grow dim in the light of your glory and grace.  No matter what plots the enemy of our souls may have against your righteous People, your Church and this nation, we pray in Jesus's name that the power of the wicked will be broken and your peace will be upon us.  Amen.

"The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; 
 but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.

Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked;
for the power of the wicked will be broken,

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."  (Philippians 4:6-8)

Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed. But some of them said, “By Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he is driving out demons.” Others tested him by asking for a sign from heaven. 
Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: “Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall. If Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? I say this because you claim that I drive out demons by Beelzebul. Now if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your followers drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up his plunder.  “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. (Luke 11:14-23)
