December 14, 2020 Prayer - Electoral Hodge Podge

Faithful God,

Thank you for your faithfulness in all seasons of life.  You are the same yesterday, today, and forever, whether the circumstances of the world are crazy and chaotic, or mundane and peaceful.  Thank you for your Peace that passes understanding that you offer to us through Christ Jesus and the working of Holy Spirit.  Help us to rest in your Peace, knowing that, as we fight in prayer, you are fighting for us. Today we pray your guiding wisdom and peace would be upon the electors casting votes for the presidential election.  We especially pray for physical protection over them in the face of threats.  May your angels' guarding be upon them in this time and place.  And we pray you would continue to guide those who are investigating allegations of fraud and corruption in the voting and election process.  May you guide the investigators into all truth and may there be no stalling, withholding of evidence, or other obstruction of the investigations.  By the power of your Holy Spirit, cause righteous judges to promptly hear and consider allegations and make just decisions.  May your righteousness, truth and justice prevail so that anyone who has caused corruption and anyone who has alleged corruption where there is none will all be prosecuted and convicted.  Clean out the junk in our nation's wounds, God, so we can heal and move forward without further strife.  And cause your Church's prayer warriors to continue to persevere in prayer for your Church and her influence in this world.  In the strong name of Christ we pray, Amen.

"Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."  (Philippians 4:7 NLT)

"The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exo. 14:14 KJV)

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." (Heb. 13:8)

"If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)

"Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.  If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open." (James 1:2-8 MSG)
