Psalm 60 Prayer

God,

We cry out for freedom in this nation - healing from past sins, rescue from current evil spirits, and liberation from ideas that seek to destroy this nation from within.   Forgive us of our corporate sins of greed, arrogance, abortion, racial hatred, crimes against First Peoples, and uncaring exploitation of the land and its resources.  You have rejected us and been angry; you have shaken us and torn this land open.  Mend its fractures, for it is quaking.  We recognize that we are in desperate times but we know that your salvation and deliverance can save us.  We pray in the name of Jesus for release from spirits of fear, deception, destruction, anger, hatred, and distrust that are upon this nation and her people.  We pray instead that spirits of peace, love, and graciousness would instead be poured out in this country.  Break the spirits of antifa, communism, socialism, anarchy, and disrespect that have taken root in the heart of this nation.  Reclaim every region for your honor and glory - New England, the Mid-Atlantic states, the South, the Midwest, the Great Plains, the Southwest, the Pacific Coast, and Alaska and Hawaii.  May every township in every county in every state be released and cleansed in Jesus's name from the evil, destructive spiritual forces and return to you and your Biblical ideas of peace, justice, and freedom.  Give us aid against the enemy of our spirits and our nation. With you we and our nation will gain the victory; you will trample down these enemies.   You have shaken the land and torn it open; now we pray you would mend its fractures, for it is quaking.  May your strong Voice - not deceptive ones - be the only quaking it hears.  We pray in the powerful name of Christ, Amen.

Psalm 60

You have rejected us, God, and burst upon us;

    you have been angry—now restore us!

You have shaken the land and torn it open;

    mend its fractures, for it is quaking.

You have shown your people desperate times;

    you have given us wine that makes us stagger.

But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner

    to be unfurled against the bow.

Save us and help us with your right hand,

    that those you love may be delivered.

God has spoken from his sanctuary:

    “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem

    and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.

Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine;

    Ephraim is my helmet,

    Judah is my scepter.

Moab is my washbasin,

    on Edom I toss my sandal;

    over Philistia I shout in triumph.”

Who will bring me to the fortified city?

    Who will lead me to Edom?

10

Is it not you, God, you who have now rejected us

    and no longer go out with our armies?

11

Give us aid against the enemy,

    for human help is worthless.

12

With God we will gain the victory,

    and he will trample down our enemies.
